Raised in a suburb of Seattle, I escaped to the city at my first opportunity.  I’ve lived in the Ravenna, Capital Hill and Queen Anne neighborhoods and now reside in West Seattle.  As a child, my mom regularly brought me into the city to visit Pike Place Market and her favorite spots (many sadly now gone).  She shared her love of things unique, special and different and made seeking them out a fun adventure – if they were a bargain, all the better.  With that great training, I continue to explore the city for places and things that will enrich my life and bring the joy of discovery to others.  “Sussing Out Seattle” is my way of sharing the things I love about my city, the original, fun, quirky spots that may not be on your radar – yet.  I’ll take you high and low, near and (not too) far and perhaps a little out of your comfort zone to show you some of my go-to places and to bring you along as I explore, discovering new favorites.
